Choose your connection type

Which should I choose?

Choose Bouncer Direct if you:

  • Want to get started in minutes
  • Use a personal WhatsApp number
  • Don't need pre-approved message templates
  • Have moderate messaging volume

Choose Meta Cloud API if you:

  • Use WhatsApp Business with a verified Meta Business account
  • Need to send template messages at scale
  • Want official WhatsApp Business API features
  • Require higher messaging limits

What is coexistence mode?

Meta Cloud API supports coexistence mode, which means you can use both:

  • WhatsApp Business app on your phone for manual conversations
  • Bouncer (via Cloud API) for automation, team inbox, and webhook routing

Both receive the same messages simultaneously. Your team can handle conversations in Bouncer while you stay connected on your phone.

Bouncer Direct works similarly - it connects as a linked device (like WhatsApp Web), so messages also sync to both your phone and Bouncer.

Can I use both methods?

Yes. You can connect multiple WhatsApp numbers using different methods. For example, use Bouncer Direct for a dedicated support number and Meta Cloud API for your main business line where you want phone access.

Each connection appears separately in your WhatsApp Connections list, and you can route messages from any of them through your webhooks and automations.
