Contact Info Panel

View and manage contact details in the Team Inbox


The Contact Info Panel displays detailed information about the contact you're chatting with. Access it by clicking the Info button in the chat header.

Panel overview

The panel shows:

  • Profile photo - Contact's WhatsApp profile picture or avatar
  • Display name - Editable name for the contact
  • Phone number - Contact's WhatsApp number
  • Quick actions - Assign, set priority, and manage tags

Quick actions

Three quick action buttons appear below the contact info:

Assign

Assign the conversation to a team member. Click to open the assignment dropdown and select from your team.

Priority

Set conversation priority levels:

  • Low - Non-urgent matters
  • Normal - Default priority
  • High - Important conversations (orange indicator)
  • Urgent - Requires immediate attention (red indicator)

Tags

Add tags to categorize conversations. Tags help with filtering and reporting.

Panel tabs

The panel has four tabs for different information:

Info tab

View and edit contact details including custom fields, acquisition source, and sales pipeline. See Info Tab for details.

Media tab

Browse all media shared in the conversation:

  • Images
  • Videos
  • Documents
  • Audio files

Click any media file to view or download it.

Ecommerce tab

View ecommerce-related information for contacts who have made purchases or inquiries about products.

Timeline tab

See the complete history of interactions with this contact:

  • Messages sent and received
  • Assignment changes
  • Status updates
  • Tag changes

Editing contact name

Click the pencil icon next to the contact name to edit it. This custom name is visible only to your team and helps identify contacts beyond their phone number or WhatsApp display name.

Pinning the panel

Click the Pin icon to keep the panel open when switching between conversations. When unpinned, the panel collapses automatically as you navigate.
